Harley Davidson 1200 Cross Street Scrambler.
We built this Steve McQueen inspired Street Scrambler 8 years ago from a 1200cc Nightster that had only done 300 miles from new by its one lady owner, a great platform to start from. It was stripped so the engine could be painted in two tone Black and wrinkle finish, it was then re-wired to tidy up all the normal wiring that runs up the frame tubes. New alloy rims were ordered in anodised Satin Black, the rear is a 17" as opposed to the std 16" to accommodate the aggressive looking Metzler tyres, these were then laced to the powder coated hubs with Black Chrome spokes and stainless nipples.
Other modifications include, lightened front pulley cover, modified rear fender, lightened sub frame, custom home made seat base, shortened rear indicator/rear light mounts, custom sump guard, relocated ignition and coil, drilled discs, custom paintwork with "Cross" subtly painted on the tank and number plate painted on rear fender, White front and rear pulley, rectifier and fork bottoms, lots of powder coated parts including fork yolks, side stand and lots of fasteners etc.
A fortune was then spent on RSD (Roland Sands Design) parts, theses include, Tracker exhaust system, coil and ignition relocation mounts, Clarity air cleaner, fork brace, MX handlebars & risers with internal wiring, speedo/headlight relocation kit with Led instrument lights, Tracker grips, Regulator brake and clutch levers, gas cap and reservoir cap.
Other upgrades include Rough Crafts timing cover, Progressive fork internals and rear shocks, Burly Brand MX foot pegs (with bottle opener) braided brake lines, 4.5 US gallon gas tank, Shorai Lithium battery and an expensive private no. plate.
To make sure it goes as good as it looks its had a Screamin Eagle Super Tuner fitted and dialled in on a laptop professionally. This
